After fifty years' imprisonment in the lab of Issac Sumdac, Megatron lives again!!!
The second-largest size class available for mainstream lines (affectionately known as the Leader-class) has begun surfacing and Megatron is the first (and arguably most worthy) Decepticon candidate for a sizeable upgrade.

He comes packaged in Robot Mode, so I might as well start the review there. While the previous Animated Megatron was small, pale and pointy, this new one is battle-worn and possesses and intimidating stature, much more appropriate for a sinister despot.
Megatron's primary weapons are two swords (which can store on his back when not in use) and the trademark "fusion cannon." In-box, the cannon is on his left arm but it can easily be transferred over to the fan-preferred right arm as well. It should be mentioned that the missile in Megatron's cannon is on a serious hair trigger; it goes off if you just look at the damn thing. Articulation is great; his huge shoulders are somewhat hindered by the Vehicle kibble on his back but it's not a complete problem.
Megatron has a voice-chip feature which is activated by pressing the Decepticon logo on his chest. He has 3 distinctive phrases- "Where is the Allspark?" "Crush the Autobots" and "*Evil Laughter*". Megs' mouth and eyes also move when the light-up feature is activated.

Megatron's new Earth Vehicle form is a helicopter. It's a good evolution for the character- since he can no longer transform into just a big gun, he'll transform into something that CARRIES a big gun. As with some other Leader-class toys, transformation is simplistic.

Decepticons! TRANSFORM AND RISE UP!!!
Overall, Megatron is a very, very worthy Decepticon Leader. I'm extremely happy with this purchase! A.
